I have just finished reading this extraordinary story. And all i kep thinking was this occurred here in Australia? since the year 2000? It was more like s story from the dark ages! Thanks for sharing this story and my deepest condolences to the family. You should never have had to endure this kind of thing in the modern world which we all live in.

The disgust I felt at the people pledged to protect our children. The unrighteous pride of an arrogant doctor and the assumptions that were made from a single decision from a person entrusted with our lives. My heart felt Sarahs pain and Im ashamed that our system chooses to 'cover up' mistakes made by such people without making them realize they were wrong. I wish your family strength and best wishes in the future and hope the least you receive is an apology from the wrongful parties.

I live in the Manning Valley (Taree area). I finished reading Sarah's Last Wish this morning...only I didn't realise I would have to go through so many tissues. I am so, so sorry that anyone would ever have to endure what Sarah and her family went through. I had not heard of Sarah's story until a couple of weeks ago. Sarah's story is now very etched on my heart. I extend my love and support to Sarah's family and I thank you for speaking out...

Thankyou Sarah and your family for your courage to speak out. I have a boy aged 13 and a girl aged 12. I would not ever want to wish your ordeal on my family or anyone elses. My heart and wishes go out to you and your family and friends. Sarah you will be forever in every one and my families hearts. God bless you. It saddens my family how the government can allow this to happen. Take care

It is terrifying to understand the power that government departments can exert to over-rule a loving family doing their absolute best for one of their children. I have just finished reading 'Sarah's Last Wish', and feel devastated at the abuse unleashed by the very department that was formed to prevent abuse! I wish the Westleys the ability to heal themselves, and receive much support as they honour Sarah's final request. My kindest wishes go to you all... Pippa Turner
