We Remember...
We all have our favourite memories of Sarah. Most of us knew her as a bubbly girl, with a fun sense of humour. She loved making us laugh with her antics and she was constantly getting into mischief.
Below, Sarah's family and friends have been given the opportunity to reminisce about some favourite memories of time spent with this special little girl.

We have some very fond memories of the short time we had to get to know Sarah.
She was a very active girl with a sense of humour which had us in stitches. She loved to play with the Daycare kids, and I have a photo of her swinging one of them around the clothes line.

I didn't get to spend much time getting to know Sarah as I wasn't at home much when she came to stay at my family's house, but the time spent with her was special. Though at times she teased me, it was all in good fun and deep down I enjoyed the times spent with her, stealing my chair when I got up, and times of her pulling my hair or trying to put it in tiny little ponytails. She was fun, bubbly and outgoing. Even though she was going through so much she still had a smile and a sense of fun and humour. She has been a great inspiration to all who knew her and even those who have only read her story. Even though I barely got a chance to know her as much as I wish I could have, I often think about her and wish I could have got to know her better. Thank you for making this site where people can go and see Sarah.

Sarah Elizabeth Westley (1991 - 2004)
There are tears in our eyes as we stand here
But the tears in our hearts are so deep,
We are glad that we know you are resting
Even as we stand here and weep.
God must have know that we'd love you
So for a few short years he did lend,
to us knowing we'd treasure you dearly
But letting God have you back at the end.
We couldn't wish you back with the suffering
You've had to endure in this place,
For now you only know peace and safety
As God wipes the tears from your face.
So we'll try to let you go now our child
For we realise you were only on loan,
Though it's the hardest thing we've suffered
We must give you to God for his own.
We'll miss you, we'll love you forever
And don't know how this suffering will bear,
But it makes the pain in our hearts lesson a little
Knowing you're safe in God's heavenly care.
So to God’s precious hands we’ll entrust you
Knowing you’ll be enjoying a beautiful part,
In the beauty and treasure of heaven
And the dearest place in God’s heart.
You’re home precious one in his keeping
That’s all you could hope to endeavour,
Now God’s looking at you as his treasure
That he has now forever and ever.
The things of this earth were so temporal
To what you’ll be enjoying above,
God must have felt you were needed
As a rosebud in his bouquet of Love.
Though we feel for our loss and our heartbreak
We are thankful for God’s grace as he calms,
Assuring us you’re with us, in our hearts now
But forever more safe in his arms.

Hi,
When I met Sarah I was very sick myself hardly even able to walk, but to see Sarah enjoying her time with a friend and laughing together was an inspiration to get through the hardest days, by smiling and doing things for others.
